Only 2 places in Barretto I would take my wife and
kids. One is the time honored Mango's,
but only at the beach area. It has
changed owners and is not the family friendly place as before, but it is
acceptable. The other would possibly be
the pool side bar at the Arizona Hotel.
All the rest would not be acceptable.
There are a few small non-girlie bars but they are small and the
language gets really rough sometimes.
Most of the Baloy beach hotels would suit your needs. There are no girlie bars and no bar fines,
all have access to the beach and usually some type of entertainment. But of course, just getting there on their
dilapidated thing they call a road will wear you out and put all in a bad mood.
There are very few "Bars" on SBMA. Most are located in the larger hotels and the
ambiance and character of those places is zero.
Check out Playa Papagayo Beach Inn. It has a homey feel to it. Check out there Margarita Beach bar.
ReplyDeleteWell mate I beg to differ. Midnight Rambler has no bar manager,the girls are properly dressed as waitress, no mamasan on your ass, you don't get ripped off & no problem with a wife or steady girlfriend. At the end of the day if you are talking about the afternoon fair enough but anywhere on the planet after 6 or 7pm when people have started drinking bars are not the place to take children. Also not too shabby is the Orchid if we do a Sunday with the kids that is where we go also the palm tree downstairs nice & safe pool, there are places for the correct time of day Happy days.
